REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS
- Advised an international digital payments platform on end-to-end Kenya market entry, including corporate structuring, local set up, launch sequencing, licensing strategy, governance frameworks, ODPC registration, data protection compliance onboarding, digital tax structuring, company secretarial support, and ongoing regulatory engagement across the payments ecosystem.
- Advised a multinational technology group on an internal reorganization involving a 100% share transfer within a group structure, including transaction structuring, regulatory approvals, and implementation support in Kenya.
- Advised a virtual asset business on Kenya market entry and regulatory strategy, including licensing pathways, governance, AML and CFT, consumer protection, data protection, and product structuring designed to reduce regulatory exposure.
- Represented a global payment service provider in a competition law matter arising from pricing structures and contractual arrangements imposed by an international card scheme, with implications for market access, bank channel participation, and competition in the Kenyan payments sector.
- Advised a tier one Kenyan Bank on multi jurisdictional intellectual property protection to support digital product expansion across 8 African markets.
- Advised a Kenyan tier 1 bank with regional presence on platform as a service and software as a service arrangements, including contract structuring, vendor negotiations, fintech integration partnerships, and digital banking support.
- Represented a technology services provider in arbitration arising from technology and fintech service contracts.
